It’s getting warm out there, and the City of Toronto is getting ready for the summer season with the opening of select outdoor pools as early as this weekend. Here’s what to know.
According to the City of Toronto, most of its outdoor pools will open on June 21 on a partial schedule and on a full schedule starting June 27.
However, 15 pools will open as early as June 14 with a partial schedule: Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
These 15 outdoor pools include:
- Alex Duff Memorial Pool at Christie Pits Park
- Alexandra Park
- Broadlands Community Recreation Centre
- Donald D. Summerville Olympic Pools
- Gord and Irene Risk Community Recreation Centre
- Goulding Community Recreation Centre
- Halbert Park
- Maryvale Park

As for wading pools, these will open for the season on June 27, and their hours will vary by location.
All of these outdoor experiences will close on select days in September. But don’t worry about that; summer hasn’t started yet.
