Torontonians are sharing their first snowfall photos and it's so wholesome
If you live just about anywhere in Ontario, then you woke up on Sunday and Monday to a shocking amount of snow. In fact, according to The Weather Network, Toronto has already recorded 5 cm of snow, making it “the earliest occurrence of that much snow since Oct. 22, 1969.” Yep, let that sink in.
Well, Torontonians aren’t letting it get them down, and over on Reddit, residents are sharing their photos of the city’s first snowfall. It’s pretty wholesome, and seeing the snow captured in different ways honestly helped cure my Monday blues.
User Educational-Bid-5263 shared this photo before the snow started coming down hard, showing the CN Tower illuminated in the evening.
Another user, kashokaz, shared an evening-time photo of Stanley Park, writing “Stanley’s first snowfall.”
One of my favourites shared in the Toronto subreddit was this image, showing Riverdale, one of the city’s east-end neighbourhoods, as the snow began to fall during the day.
I can’t lie, guys, this next one hurt. A user named pakadoran shared two images, one showing the Don Valley Bridge recently, next to an image showing what it looked like during yesterday’s snow hit. Sigh.
So, whether we were ready for it or not, the snow is officially here. On the bright side, maybe it’ll get you into the holiday spirit! The Distillery Winter Village opens this week, and I think it’ll be extra gorgeous with a layer of the white stuff.
