Plato’s Closet is a popular consignment store where guests can sell gently used clothing and now is as good of a time as ever to check it out as its new location opens tomorrow, March 21st.

The new store is in North York at 39 Orfus Road and the first location is in Toronto’s Stockyards.

Plato’s process is simple. Bring in your gently used brand-name clothing and accessories for the staff to assess and whatever they want they will buy off of you in cash! Easy.

Extoggery

Extoggery can be found in the Toronto neighbourhood Leaside and will buy any luxury or designer clothing and accessory items you may not want anymore.

According to their website, “Extoggery is an upscale consignment clothing store specializing in current high-end brand-name clothing and accessories.”

Call ahead to make a consignment appointment and if your items can be accepted, an account will be opened for you.

45% of the retail selling price will be instantly credited to your account and when you pick up your payment in-store it can be either cash (under $100) or cheque (over $100).

Common Sort

This consignment shop has three locations in the city, one on the east end and two on the west end.

Common Sort is currently buying for spring, accepting men’s and women’s gently used fashionable clothing, shoes, bags, hats, belts and scarves. Items must be “clean, in good condition and on-trend.”

If your items are accepted you can choose to receive 50% of the total price in store credit you can take 25% of that price in cash.

Second Nature Boutique

Second Nature is another place where you can sell designer items.

According to Second Nature Boutique’s website they are currently accepting designer handbags, high-end shoes, high-end denim, jackets, tops, event dresses (including wedding) and jewellery.

Loved & Found

Loved & Found is another consignment store that is by appointment only.

Each season this store accepts different items! For spring Loved & Found is asking for light tops and pants.

Summer intake runs from May 1st until June 1st where summer dresses, wedding guest dresses and swim coverups are accepted.
