Hungry? Why go for the same old takeout when you can try the top places to eat in Canada? Yelp has released its annual ranking of the best 100 eateries across the country.
Yelp got its users to nominate their favourite restaurants in Canada to include in the ranking. From there, they analyzed the restaurants’ ratings, reviews, and volume of submissions.
The Yelp team also used geographic representation based on equal share of submissions of top-rated restaurants nationally.
As a final step, Yelp enlisted the help of its Community Managers around the country to finalize the ranking.

Canada’s top place to eat for 2023 is The Northern Cafe and Grill in Vancouver, followed by Buvette Scott in Quebec City and Barretto Caffee in Toronto.
Spots around Toronto, the GTA, and southern Ontario make up well over a quarter of the restaurants on the list.
In Toronto alone, there are 13 spots mentioned in the ranking.
There are seven spots in Calgary on the list — the highest-ranking of them is The Himalayan in 14th place out of 100.
Yelp has named three Edmonton restaurants in the 2023 ranking, and 11 spots in Vancouver.

- Barretto Caffee — Toronto
- Manoush’eh — Vancouver
- Charlotte’s Homemade Goodies — Mississauga
- Artista Pizza — Pitt Meadows
- Damas — Montreal
- The Rimrock Cafe — Whistler
- Southeast Sandwiches — Woodbridge
- New Orelans Seafood & Steakhouse — Toronto
