Canada’s filled to the brim with incredible spots to visit, but it’s always nice to be reminded of that. Tripadvisor has released its list of the top destinations in Canada for 2022, as part of their annual ‘Best of the Best’ roundup. Curious about which spots got the nod? So were we, so let’s see what made it!

British Columbia managed to dominate the top spots. Whistler, Tofino, and Vancouver ended up first, second and third respectively on the list. That’s not all though, because Victoria also got on there in the sixth spot. From skiing to surfing to exploring the city of glass, BC definitely has a lot to offer.

Alberta and Quebec both managed to have two mentions in the list of the top destinations in Canada for 2022, but for very different reasons.

Alberta got the nod for its incredible mountain getaway options, with Jasper landing eighth on the list while Banff got fourth in the rankings. Whether you’re sticking in the south or opting for an even more remote destination, Alberta’s Rocky Mountain towns offer world-class amenities and scenery.

Meanwhile, Quebec’s inclusions have a decidedly more cultural bent, with Quebec City getting seventh and Montreal rounding things out in the tenth spot.

Finally, both Ontario and Nova Scotia ended up with a single inclusion respectively. Folks looking to mix wine country with historic towns and vistas can do no wrong with a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake, and earned the region the 5th spot overall. On the flip side, the city of Halifax has no history shortage of its own, but the emergence of bars, restaurants, and nightlife also contributed to it ending up in the 9th spot.

Of course, we’re treating the list as a jumping off point- Canada is filled with incredible destinations from coast to coast, and this recent list only helps to grow it!
