Vancouver ranks as one of the top cities in the world to visit this winter

Every year, social media timelines are flooded with breathtaking snowscapes, twinkling holiday lights, and festive events across the globe. And there’s a new report that confirms which cities are the most popular wintertime destinations – if you’re tempted to plan a last-minute trip.

Online casino and sportsbook operator JeffBet conducted a study using social media data hashtags to determine the top cities to visit in the UK, US, Canada, and Europe for the best winter experience.

As it turns out, the city of Vancouver made the top 10 cut, situated just below Belfast and above Krakow.

Here are TikTok’s top 10 cities in the world to visit this winter:

This list reflects the cities with the most desirable hashtags on TikTok this season, including #WinterInNewYork and #LondonChristmasMarkets.

In an email with Curiocity, a representative shares that England’s capital has nearly 71 million winter-related hashtags on social media, with the “Borough Market at Christmas” and “Christmas in Covent Garden” leading the way.

In New York, New Year’s Eve festivities take precedence on social media, earning the city second place on the list. The most popular wintertime hashtag here is #NYENewYork, with has 6.4 million hashtags on TikTok.

They note that Vancouver’s breathtaking mountain scenery and status as a ski destination land it in ninth place. All in all, there are 7.5 million winter hashtags on the social media platform.

So there you have it, Vancouver! It looks like our city measures up when it comes to some of the most sought-after winter destinations around the globe.
