Great news, roller coaster enthusiasts! Vancouver’s newest ride, the ThunderVolt, officially opens this weekend, and fans of supernatural-themed attractions will definitely want to check it out.

Recognized as “Canada’s fastest electric launch coaster,” the ThunderVolt takes passengers on a journey through a mysterious, supernatural world, carrying 12 passengers at a time through an illuminated tunnel, up a steep incline, and down an 18-metre drop.

During the ride, visitors will see “extraordinary animals, graphics and lighting that pulses as the ride system charges,” according to the PNE.

Note that this is an “Extreme” ride that requires a Thrill Seeker Pass to ride, and opens this July.
