This WWII coast watcher’s shack in Washington is now a beachfront Airbnb with a pool

Summer is well under way and it’s time to enjoy the natural beauty of our state. If you’re looking for a special getaway, we may have just found your new favorite spot. This Poulsbo Airbnb is the perfect mix of cozy and funky with some seriously amazing amenities.

The Sandy Hook Beach Shack is located just a quick ferry ride from Seattle between Poulsbo & Winslow. It’s extra cool because it actually used to be WWII coast watchers shack. These days the shack is a beloved getaway and we think you’ll find it just as special as the many other people who have stayed there.

The home comes complete with everything you’d need for the perfect stay including a full kitchen, gas fireplace, and a bottle of complimentary wine. Not to mention, on the outside you’ll find a Chinese pagoda, a Mexican pool cabana, hammock, and swing. Oh, and it’s right on the water. See? We told you this place is seriously cool.

Now, this Poulsbo Airbnb is definitely best as a solo or couples getaway because it technically only sleeps two and is on the smaller side. Of course, you could also always go with a friend because this looks like a spot that would be even better to enjoy with someone special. Who knows, we might just have to enjoy a stay here.

The cost for staying at the Sandy Hook Beach Shack varies on when you plan on booking. While it’s looking pretty booked up at the moment, its worth adding to your list of local getaways. Or if you’re really hankering to visit, consider sending the host a message.
