This popular Calgary pizzeria now offers more than just the cheesiest pizza

Every city has a few family-run eateries that are the heart and soul of the city’s flavour. The food is great, the place is welcoming, the owners are super warm and the overall experience is one that makes for a comforting and unforgettable experience. Calgary is no different; it has its share of family-run cafes and eateries. And one, in particular, has been garnering a lot of love and popularity over the last 13 years- Crispy Crust Pizza.

It’s the kind of place that has a loyal fan following. It’s a happy place for some and a go-to authentic Greek place for others. It’s the place where you go for the city’s cheesiest pizza but also because you haven’t said ‘Hi’ to Louie Tzigalanis, the owner, in a while. In fact, Louie receives family Christmas Cards from many of his regulars every year. How cute is that?

It’s no surprise that they were named Top Choice Pizzeria of 2021.

The good news is that Crispy Crust now has more to offer. The pizzeria recently got a nice, fun-meets-fancy architectural makeover and a menu upgrade as well. So, we can now enjoy the well-crafted pizzas that are a perfect blend of crispy and gooey, the delicious pasta and house Greek or Caesar Salad amidst an upscale setting and with the side of growlers and chicken wings. Yup, they just added growlers and wings to the menu.

We also happened to get our hand on a tiny little secret behind what sets Crispy Crusts apart- selective, quality ingredients. Louie’s obsessive selectiveness when it comes to choosing ingredients since everything served (except for wings and growlers) is house-made including sauces, dips, and dressings.
