This ‘Griswold Christmas’ house in the GTA is a must-see light display

Bring a little holiday magic to your weekend with a trip to check out the Rusty Griswold’s Christmas Light Display. This spectacular set up is located just 1 hour south of Toronto in Burlington. It was created as a passion project by one Burlington local, but has quickly become the talk of the town.

So Rusty Griswold’s Christmas Light Display was inspired by the holiday classic film National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Every year, Burlington resident, Mike M. strings up his display in an effort to “recapture the excitement and magic of Christmas morning for kids.” The set up is meticulously designed and synced to a playlist of cheerful holiday music. Seriously, you’ve got to see this spot in person.

The best part of it all is that it can be enjoyed from the safety and comfort of your own car. So if you’re coming from the city, you won’t be putting others at risk through your travels. Oh, and did we mention that it’s completely free? Yeah, that’s pretty awesome too.

This incredible display will be shining bright all the way until December 31st. So pick an evening and make the trek to see it for yourself. We promise, it’s worth the trip.
