This giant Airbnb in Alberta is surrounded by trails, wildlife & stunning mountain views

In the prairie provinces we’re lucky enough to live only a short drive from the mountains, however – that doesn’t necessarily mean every trip is a quick ‘there and back.’ If you’re among those who often hit the road for a staycay in the Rockies, here’s one more spot that you should add to your Rolodex of hotels and unique Airbnb’s in Alberta.

Whether you head out this chilly season or just keep this one in your back pocket for when the grass is a little greener, live like royalty in this stunning timber-frame home.

Located 35 minutes from Calgary, 55 minutes from Banff, and 2 km to Kananaskis – this gorgeous 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom cabin-palace hybrid is surrounded by trails, wildlife, picturesque views and has a ton of comforting amenities.

With 4,000 square feet of space, guests are encouraged to cook, sleep, rest, BBQ, work out in the gym, enjoy the great outdoors on foot, bike, horseback, or on a pair of skis.

Of course, we’d recommend doing the above activities with a group of friends – because it is a tad pricy. 

At $746 per night, this gorgeous destination is best split among pals, though, there’s nothing in the rulebook that says you have to spend the entirety of your stay with them. After all, the home is large enough never to bump into each other.

Either way, it is worth looking into, if for nothing more than that incredible view.
