A father-son duo from Calgary just launched their own skill-testing fantasy game

Everyone handled the stress of COVID differently. With so much time on our hands many took up old hobbies and others binged their way through Netflix. However, few – and we mean very few – like father-son duo Kenji and Jun Doshida from Calgary, actually used quarantine as an opportunity to do something major, like create, design and begin distributing, Animals and Legends, their very own card game. ‘

Combining elements of fantasy and probability, Animals and Legends is said to test your patience and your ability to strategize quickly.

The objective of the game is simple – create a team of mythical creatures and pit them against those on the opposing team.

To do this, each player can destroy or steal cards from others and use action cards and wit, to sabotage their opponent.

The game can be played with anywhere from 2 to four players and takes around 15 minutes minimum to complete – if you choose to play a short game. It’s also great for the whole family, as the recommended age is 8+!

To learn more about how (and how not) to play or to purchase the game for yourself, you can visit their website here or you can check out Shelf Life Books, The Sentry Box and Dragonfly Maternity.
