For an issue as big and as devastating, child sex trafficking is often much less discussed, mostly out of awkwardness and a little bit out of sheer negligence. While most lifestyle brands would steer clear of associating with a cause this dark, Calgary-born home fragrance & accessories brand, Beeing Beautiful has decided to shed light (literally and figuratively) on the issue. And we are here to give them a shout-out while also filling you in so we can all do our part to further their cause.

Let us give you some background on Beeing Beautiful first. As we said earlier, they are a Calgary-born home fragrance & accessories brand that have become popular for their customizable candles. Their build-your-own type candles allow you to pick fragrances of your liking, a jar of your preference, and a wick of your choice. So, your candles will look and smell exactly how you want them to. In fact, their reed diffusers too are just as chic in appearance as they are functional.

As can only be expected from a brand like theirs, the candles are made of all-natural ingredients including coconut wax and phthalate-free fragrance oils. This not only makes the candles planet-friendly but also allows them to hold the scent much longer than the usual ones.

All this aside, the real reason we’re dabbing in awe of the brand is ‘cause they are living true to their name by truly being beautiful. The brand has partnered with Urban Light Thailand, an organization that works to raise awareness about the ever-growing problem of male child sex trafficking in Thailand owing to the ladyboy industry. The organization helps and rehabilitates boys who’ve been forced into sex trafficking. And Beeing Beautiful donates $1 from every candle they sell to support these efforts.

Proud Canadians and Calgarians as we are, we, for one, have added Beeing Beautiful to our holiday gift list, quite extensively tbh. If you have to, here is a link to their website.

Now, that’s the kind of consumerism we approve of.
