Called the ‘Ark Retreat House’, the home sits on a rocky bluff above Killarney Lake. Only accessible via dirt road, it offers a totally secluded setting while still providing easy access to nearby trails, hikes and lakes. And of course, it doesn’t hurt that Bowen Island is home to some amazing oceanfront areas.

While it’s a private residence, the home has been designed with guests in mind. There are 4 bedrooms that can fit up to 8 guests, with options for couples to take over the two main bedrooms. Besides that, one room features a bunk bed and a twin bed, while the smallest holds the final bed (but does have a skylight).

The focus on a relaxed guest experience continues throughout the rest of the Airbnb. Especially in the kitchen, which features a massive table capable of seating up to 12 guests and gourmet-level amenities. We don’t know who’s cooking breakfast, but we know they’ve got all the tools to do it big.

Finally, a couple of custom touches like the meditation loft upstairs and the amazing hanging fixture in the living room offer beautiful surroundings to relax in after a mid-day hike or an afternoon on the lake.

And while $1,000/night might seem like a steep price, when it’s divided by 8 it’s much more affordable. So, check in with your friends and see if they want to join you for a weekend at this gorgeous Bowen Island Airbnb.
