This beloved Vancouver taco shop is about to open its first patio

After over a decade of waiting, it looks like the original La Taqueria location on Hastings is about to open its first patio! As it turns out, the shop has always had a ‘secret’ rooftop patio, and it’s finally going to be put to use this summer. Here’s a little more info, folks!

We have to give credit where credit is due here, because Scout Magazine was first on the scene. The new patio will technically be its own concept, and it’s already been given a name- Chupito. Chupito (shot, but in the alcohol sense) will feature its own cocktail program, alongside the usual fare from the taco shop downstairs and some new seafood-forward dishes.

So, we’ve got a new hidden patio, from an already great restaurant, with a new menu and drinks lined up. We don’t know about you, but we consider that to be the holy trinity of food news in Vancouver. Now, all we need to do is figure out when it’s actually going to open.

Fingers crossed that it’s going to be sooner rather than later! To stay up to date, we recommend following La Taqueria on Instagram. Gee, maybe it’s time we go treat ourselves to a taco, all this writing about them has us feeling peckish.
