For many folks in Toronto, the dream of having your own home garden is just that. A dream. Whether you’re a condo dweller with limited outdoor space, live in a basement apartment or a home without a ton of light, or just straight up don’t have a vehicle to transport heavy plants from the store to where you are, there are lots of challenges getting in the way of your botanical prospects. Well, The Corner Shop Gardens pop-up at the St. Lawrence Market is here to remedy those issues!

The Corner Shop Gardens pop-up was created by long-time Market employee Bianca Pronesti. As a friendly face adored by staff and patrons alike, Bianca was inspired by the many beautiful vendors and top-notch service on the site. However, she noticed a lack of garden-oriented goods and decided to step in.

From there, The Corner Shop Gardens pop-up was born. Of course, given its downtown location, Bianca wanted to address some of the common issues folks often face when hoping to develop a green thumb. That’s why this awesome pop-up offers items like hanging flower baskets, mixed-herb pots, and smaller, more manageable plants and veggies. Basically, anything that can be carried away easily by the locals who stop by.

Sounds pretty great, right? As we enter the May 2-4 weekend, gardeners know that planting season is in its prime. So if you’re looking for a garden market to suit your downtown needs, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
