The first weekend of May has arrived, Toronto. The cherry blossoms are out, the sun has been shining, and the birds are chirping. If you’re ready to embrace one of the most wonderful times of year in our beautiful city, then this weekend is as good a time as any. From live sports to whimsical spring markets, these are 10 of the best things to do this weekend in Toronto.

Toronto Blue Jays games

The Toronto Blue Jays are hosting a three-game homestand against the Guardians this weekend.

Pick your game, grab some tickets, and have a great time cheering on the birds!

Where: Rogers Centre – 1 Blue Jays Way

OVO – Cirque du Soleil 

The big top is up, Toronto. Cirque du Soleil is gearing up as the OVO show launches in the city this weekend.

The shows will run until late June.

When: Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4
Where: 2150 Lake Shore Blvd. W.
Cost: $83+ per ticket

Innisfil Matcha Market 

Innisfree Canada, a popular skincare brand, will take over The Wellington Market at the Well for the next few days.

Skincare, entertainment and free matcha lattes for the first 500 visitors will all be on the lineup.

When: Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4
Where: The Well – Wellington Square, 486 Front St. W.
Cost: Free admission

Toronto Comedy All Stars

Toronto’s top comedians are taking the stage at Yuk Yuk’s!

This lineup of all-star talent has performers who have been featured on Netflix, Crave, CBC, and more.

When: Friday, May 2 at 10:30 p.m.
Where: Yuk Yuk’s — 224 Richmond St. W.
Cost: $22+ per ticket

Spring Market Sip ‘n’ Shop

The Spring Market Sip ‘n’ Shop will take place on Sunday, where guests can sip a beverage while they shop local vendors.

Local wine and tea will be available.

When: Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Kimpton Saint George Hotel – 280 Bloor St. W.
Cost: Free RSVP

Toronto Sceptres vs. Ottawa Charge

The Sceptres aren’t the only Toronto hockey team taking on Ottawa this weekend.

Tickets are still available for this match-up — grab yours before they sell out.

When: Saturday, May 3 at noon
Where: Coca-Cola Coliseum – 19 Nunavut Rd.
Cost: $34.51+ per ticket

Toronto FC vs. New England Revolution

Toronto FC takes to BMO Field on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. — be there to cheer on the Reds!

Where: BMO Field – 170 Princes’ Blvd.
Cost: $16+ per ticket

Kensington Flea

Each weekend from May until October, Kensington Market puts on an epic flea market, and this is the first one of the year.

Vendors will be selling everything from jewelry to treats.

When: Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 216 Augusta Ave.
Cost: Free admission

Mother’s Day pop-up 

Whether you’re shopping for your mother or yourself, this Mother’s Day pop-up at Stackt has a little of everything from beauty to wellness to fashion items.

When: Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 from 1 to 7 p.m.
Where: Stackt Markt — 28 Bathurst St.
Cost: Free admission

BOYWITHUKE concert

BOYWITHUKE is currently on a world tour, stopping in Toronto on Sunday.

The show, happening at History, still has tickets up for grabs.

When: Sunday, May 4, at 7 p.m.
Where: History – 1663 Queen St. E.
Cost: $49.25+ per ticket
