It’s a short week – but make no mistake – there’s plenty to do around town this week! From the Vancouver Fringe Fest to a book sale, to a fall-themed afternoon tea, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (September 3-6).
Baseball season wraps up soon at the Nat, with the Vancouver Canadians up against the Eugene Emeralds from Tuesday, September 3rd to Sunday, September 8th.

This electro-funk band is sending off summer with a bang on September 5th at the Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park, and you won’t want to miss out!

The Vancouver Fringe Festival returns for its 40th anniversary, taking over Granville Island with 70+ extraordinary performing arts shows! From September 5th to 15th, you can enjoy daily showings of theatre, comedy, dance, music, and more.
Tickets can be purchased online at the festival’s website, by calling their box office at (236) 978-4919 Monday through Friday from 11 am to 4 pm, or in person on Granville Island at one of their 3 box offices starting September 3rd.

The Vancouver Public Library is here to help feed your reading habits. This week, the Central Library in downtown Vancouver is having its next used book sale, and everything is priced at $3 or less!

The Marley Brothers – Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani and Damian – are joining forces for The Legacy Tour in celebration of the music and legacy of Bob Marley. So get ready to dance to your favourite Marley tunes!

From Wednesdays to Sundays at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, there will be a special fall-themed afternoon tea service at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver starting this month. So get ready to indulge in everything from Kabocha Squash Tartlets to Pumpkin Tiramisu.

Cost: $72 per adult, $40 per child
Downtown Vancouver has added one more outdoor movie night of the season, this time screening the Oscar-nominated indie film Past Lives. There will be activations, entertainment, vendors, and games starting at 5 pm, followed by the film screening at 7:45 pm.

2000s pop icon P!nk is headed to Vancouver this September at Rogers Arena, and it’s not too late to snag tickets!

Thanks to a partnership with BMO, the Vancouver Art Gallery offers free admission to the public on the first Friday of every month, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The next free Friday night will be on Friday, September 6th– so mark your calendars and get ready to enjoy some after-work art!

Mat Collective offers free outdoor yoga classes all summer long at locations across BC. This week Vancouver yogis can head to a final Jazzy Jam sesh on Davie – just make sure to book your spot in advance before spots fill up!
