STAND Festival

Starting November 1st, Presentation House Theatre in North Van is co-presenting a series of events with Blackout Art Society as part of the 4th annual STAND Festival, which celebrates emerging immigrant and refugee performing artists. The festival aims to offer the chance to connect newcomer artists with the community so they may share their stories.

IndieFest

IndieFest brings together a plethora of emerging musicians and artists from all walks of life to highlight the stories and people that may have been overshadowed by history and tradition. This year’s theme is “Transformation and Transcendence,” inviting guests to engage with the world in new ways, holding space for intersectionality.

Shipyards Christmas Market 

Speaking of holiday markets, there’s a free-to-enter Christmas market coming to the Shipyards this year that you won’t want to miss! The event will feature over 75 wooden stalls adorned with twinkling holiday lights, with a variety of unique artisanal gifts for sale. Visitors can also celebrate the start of the season with festive music, ice skating on the outdoor ice rink, mulled wine and cocoa, and North Vancouver’s shining Christmas tree.

The Improv Centre 

One of Vancouver’s best-known improv theatre companies is always a fun time, especially this time of year.
