10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (March 9-13)

Another week, another roundup of fun events! From Saint Patrick’s Day festivities to a hot dog eating contest, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (March 9-13).

CelticFest Vancouver 

Kick off your Saint Patrick’s weekend at the biggest “Ceilidh” west of the Rockies hosted by Blackthorn, Vancouver’s longest-running Celtic Band, on Friday, March 13, 2026. Special guests at the event include White Spot Pipe Band, O’Brien Irish Dance, and Shot of Scotch Vancouver Company, so bring your best dancing shoes!

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, CelticFest Live is taking over the Hollywood Theatre for another night of Celtic rock and dancing, this time with The Whiskey Dicks.

Finally, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, it’s Celtic Family Day from noon to 5 p.m., complete with crafts, live music, Irish dancing, and a local artisan market.

BC Home + Garden Show

This year’s BC Home + Garden Show is back this coming week, complete with over 400 booths to explore. The marketplace offers shoppers the chance to explore a variety of home-related products and services, from garden projects to kitchen appliances, and there will be industry experts in attendance to answer all your queries.
