Car Free Day Vancouver – Commercial Drive and Main Street
Vancouver is getting two car-free days this September: One on Commercial Drive on September 7th, and one on Main on September 15th, all with plenty of family fun, food, and live entertainment.

Vancouver Fringe Festival
One of the most celebrated annual events in Vancouver’s local arts community is back with 12 days of unforgettable shows—from big venues to tiny book shops, parking lots and even a show on a boat! Yes, we’re talking about the 40th annual Vancouver Fringe Fest!
Note that admission to the festival requires the purchase of a $10 annual membership, which helps cover artist costs to keep the annual event going.

Shipyards Night Market
The beloved Shipyards Night Market is every Friday from May 10th to September 13th, so get ready to enjoy the iconic beer garden and outdoor market, and peruse many mouthwatering food trucks.

Vancouver Canadians
Baseball season wraps up this September at the Nat, with the Vancouver Canadians up against the Eugene Emeralds from Tuesday, September 3rd to Sunday, September 8th.

Bike the Night
One of the most iconic biking events is finally back in the city this September after a five-year hiatus! Vancouver’s “Bike the Night” is back and better than ever, with a nighttime ride planned by HUB Cycling (see Vancouver Seawall on map).

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival
This one’s for outdoor theatre lovers! Bard on the Beach is officially back for its 35th season at Kits Beach this week, with two productions kicking off the Shakespearean festival: “Twelfth Night” starting Tuesday, June 11th, and “Hamlet” starting Thursday, June 13th.

Richmond Night Market
Home to literally hundreds of vendors, the Richmond Night Market has become a must for food and drink lovers, and there’s still plenty of time to check out all the eats and drinks this year. Plus, this September, you can indulge in over 40 $10 ‘happy hour’ items!

Concerts at the Malkin Bowl
There are still tons of outdoor concerts taking place at Stanley Park’s Malkin Bowl this September, from Future Islands to David Kushner, to Snotty Nose Rez Kids.

Junction Public Market
It’s not too late to visit Vancouver’s newest public marketplace, which features a mix of rotating food trucks, artisan vendors, and live entertainment. Oh, and refreshing sips from the market’s ‘Sipping Container!
The market takes place at Granville Square Tuesday through Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm until September 29th.

Grouse Grind
Of course, we couldn’t forget the Grouse Grind in this roundup. If you haven’t done this quintessential Vancouver hike at least once this season, now’s your chance to challenge yourself and reap the rewards of breathtaking views.

Capilano Canyon Suspension Bridge
While it’s a bucket list option for any tourist, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is also a must-visit for Vancouverites. Yes, Canyon Lights are amazing, but there’s something so fun about a summer visit to this woodland wonderland.

Kitsilano Pool
Fancy a dip by the beach? You can soak up the last bit of summer at Vancouver’s beachside saltwater pool until September 22nd. So get your laps in while you can!
