Russell & Roots Country Concert

On August 12th, Russell & Roots is bringing their country concert to Softball City in Surrey, so get ready to don your cowboy hats and boots for this one. The star-studded line-up includes Nashville’s LOCASH, four-time Canadian country single chart toppers James Barker Band, and back-to-back CCMA Female Artist of the Year Meghan Patrick.

Fans of the beloved Vancouver Mural Festival still have plenty of fun events to look forward to this weekend as the festival comes to a close. For one, there’s the highly-anticipated VMF After Dark pop-up party on Friday, August 11th ($14.64 entry), and the popular Public Disco on Saturday, August 12th ($14.64 entry), as well as the FREE Mount Pleasant Street Party from August 10th to 13th!

Finally, this year’s fest wraps up with the Bastid’s BBQ event on Sunday, August 13th ($24.33 – $30.27).

Vancouver Canadians

This weekend, the Vancouver Canadians are up against the Tri-City Dust Devils at the Nat Bailey Stadium, so get ready to load up on stadium eats and root for your home team!

Fridays on Front

Finally, we come to Fridays on Front in New West, a community-wide block party taking place every Friday this month. Best of all? Each festival has its own theme, from ‘Bollywood Bash’ to celebrating Pride. Each date will feature a different lineup of food and drink vendors, as well as libations from the fully-licensed Steel & Oak beer + Pacific Breeze Wine.

Each night market will take place from 5 to 9 pm.
