Capture Photography Festival 

Western Canada’s largest lens-based art festival is returning to the city for the entire month of April via exhibits at dozens of galleries throughout Metro Vancouver, and this week marks the first few days. So whether you want to check out a couple of artist talks or catch a film, there’s likely an event with your name on it!

Hairspray by Broadway Across Canada

Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical comedy Hairspray is coming to Vancouver from April 2nd to 7th, as a part of its North American tour.

Vancouver Giants vs Everett Silvertips

This week, the Vancouver Giants are facing off against the Everett Silvertips twice at the Langley Events Centre: Once on Wednesday, and once on Friday.

Hatsune Miku

Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media. The anthropomorphic character is modeled after a teenage girl with long, turquoise hair, and is powered by Crunchyroll – and she’s set to ‘perform’ at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird stadium at UBC this week!

House of Funk X Jun present: Latte Art Hang Out 

From 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, April 4th, Blacktusk Coffee Co is hosting a latte art hangout at House of Funk, where guests can show off their creativity and skills at the ultimate showdown of steamed milk and espresso. In addition to prizes and network opportunities, there will be a live DJ.

An Evening in Spain: A Culinary Journey with Antonio Romero

You don’t need to know Monet from Cézanne to enjoy a day at the Vancouver Art Gallery. With new exhibits popping up all the time, it’s a fun, educational and culturally enriching place to check out. And of course, who doesn’t love ‘hmm-ing’ and ‘hah-ing’ at some crazy paintings, especially on Free Nights at the Gallery?
