The holiday magic is coming back to Toronto’s Casa Loma, transforming the castle grounds into a winter wonderland.
Christmas at the Castle and Holiday Lights Tour experiences will take over Casa Loma this December 5th, 2024 to January 4th, 2025
from 9:30 AM to 5 PM and 5:30 PM to 10 PM, respectively.

Wednesdays at Aga Khan Museum
The Aga Khan Museum has a “permanent collection of over 1,200 masterpieces and innovative performing arts and educational programming” and on Wednesdays, you don’t need to worry about paying for admission.
The free admission promotion runs on Wednesdays during extended hours from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Fridays at MOCA
The Museum of Contemporary Art aka MOCA knows how to get your weekend started on the right foot.
Each Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., admission is free making this a great spot for date night.
Visitors can book in advance to guarantee entry or drop in at the door, just note that the last time slot for entry is 8:45 p.m.

Winterfest Toronto 2024
Winterfest is a free winter activation coming to Toronto and will not only feature the return of the outdoor rink in the area, but it will also have a long list of seasonal festivities including marshmallow roasting fire pits, food trucks, lights displays and a fireworks show.

First Wednesday Nights at the AGO
Another popular Toronto museum with a free admission day to take advantage of.
On the first Wednesday of each month between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. you can enjoy the waived admission cost, just be sure to book your free tickets online in advance to ensure you get a spot.
There is a limit of two tickets per booking.

Disney’s The Lion King
One of the most beloved musical productions is in Toronto.

Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood has transformed into a free outdoor art gallery with 20 augmented reality window installations and five murals.
The fourth annual Window Wonderland event runs until Jan. 31, 2025. This urban art walk features artwork designed by local and international artists.
Visitors can bring the artwork to life using an AR app, Artivive – a first of its kind for the city.

Union Winter presented by TD
Union Station is bringing back Union Winter with its free indoor roller-skating rink inside the TD West Carriageway, Roller Express.

Hangar Skate
Hangar Skate, the beloved winter experience at the former Downsview Airport lands, is coming back his holiday season with free skating, a massive interactive public art installation, and the inaugural YZD Holiday Market.
Starting Dec. 20, 2024, YZD will transform into a winter wonderland, running until Family Day weekend. This year, organizers are bringing new and thrilling performances to the main stage, along with an incredible lighting ceremony.

The Bentway
According to the skating trail, its winter programming begins on December 16, and this year, skaters are invited back to cruise the 220m figure-eight skate trail under the Gardiner Expressway. ”
