Family Day is approaching! In most provinces of Canada, the third Monday in February is observed as a regional statutory holiday known as Family Day. In Toronto, there are plenty of things to do with your loved ones on the holiday, which falls on Monday, February 19th.

Aga Khan Museum

Aga Khan Museum is open on Family Day Monday and they’re holding a special event for Family Day and Lunar New Year. There will be free performances, demonstrations, and activities where you can get creative with free hands-on fun for the whole family.

The Hockey Hall of Fame is inviting families and kids to head on over on Family Day as they’re offering free admission to kids plus a free gift, and access to play all day in the interactive zones, meet Slapshot the mascot and more.

When: Monday, February 19th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Cost: Free admission for kids 13 and under, $25 per ticket for adults

The Bentway 

The Bentway is putting on a Family Day event with more than just ice skating on their well-known trail. This fun-filled afternoon will also feature crafts, music and refreshments The Bentway has teamed up with the Bata Shoe Museum to offer activities for the whole family that celebrate the history of skating, inspired by their online exhibition Boots and Blades: The Story of Canadian Figure Skating.

Ripley’s Aquarium 

Ripley’s Aquarium is extending its hours on Family Day! The hours for the aquarium are being extended to 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM for everyone to enjoy. Get tickets here.

Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo is holding an event to celebrate Family Day and the zoo’s 50th anniversary! There will be a Blue’s Clues Meet and Greet, an Orchard Oasis at the Greenhouse, and of course their regular animal exhibits.

The Little Canada exhibit is a celebration of all things Canada and all that makes it so great, shrunk into a 2-hour experience featuring miniature displays and interactive pieces. Little Canada will be open for Family Day Monday, the perfect experience for the whole fam.

Skating at Nathan Phillip Square
