Celebrate Alberta Day 2023
Alberta Day celebrations return this weekend! From live entertainment and a made-in-Alberta marketplace to cultural workshops and activities for kids, there will be fun for the whole family! On September 2, free public events will take place at Edmonton’s Legislature Grounds featuring a concert with folk-rock legends Captain Tractor.

Cocktails and Jerk Festival
Check out the Cocktails and Jerk Festival this long weekend! Cocktails and Jerk is a “Caribbean-themed food event, showcasing popular street foods and tropical cocktail beverages.” So, expect a variety of vendors, representing the best cuisine in the city, to be offering some delicious Caribbean dishes, from jerk chicken to fried plantains and more.

Mural Massive 2023
Mural Massive is back for the fourth year with new large-scale murals to the Old Strathcona and Downtown communities. Festivities kick off on September 2 with a party at The Grindstone Theatre featuring live art, music and comedy all day. Mural painting will happen over the week following, according to organizers.

Is it too early to start planning for Halloween? Absolutely not! This Monday, head to Edmonton’s Somerset Farms and pick your very own pumpkin! Our advice? Make a pie out of this one, and then head back closer to the October 31st to grab another for carving! Opening day is September 2nd, and be sure to get your admission ticket online in advance.
