FAMILY FUN DAY AT WEM

Join the WEM for free fun kids’ activities this Family Day weekend! From Saturday to Monday, each day will have events like meeting your favourite princesses, and free face painting.

WINTER CITY WEEKENDS 

Winter City Weekends is hosted by EAC at Churchill Square! It has family friendly programming every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, where you can get on the ice and groove to some of Edmonton’s best musicians and DJs. And they also offer free skates.

The world-famous production of Beethoven Lives Upstairs features a lively exchange of letters between young Christoph and his uncle. Presenting history, drama, music, and fun, this engaging concert is an ideal way to introduce your child to classical music!

WINTER WAGON RIDES

Enjoy twinkling lights strung up around Fort Edmonton Park’s historic streets, while bundled up in a festive horse-drawn wagon ride throughout the entire park! This is one winter activity you won’t want to miss.

THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF WINTER CINEMA

Get ready to watch “the best winter films from around the world, on one huge snow screen, in a truly unique location.” The International Festival of Winter Cinema (IFWC) was founded in 2017 in Edmonton, and it is the world’s only completely free outdoor winter film festival!

CANADIAN BIRKIE SKI FESTIVAL

Get outdoors, get active and embrace winter! The Birkebeiner Ski Festival is for cross country skiers, sure, but it has a very fun twist, as the most devoted of the events is a 55km long marathon with a 5.5kg weight strapped to your back.

EXPLORE AN ALBERTA MUSEUM FOR FREE

They say that you should learn one new thing a day! On Monday, February 20th, families will be able to learn from and explore some of Alberta’s very best and brightest spots – all of which will fill your head and heart with memories and knowledge – for FREE! From the Royal Alberta Museum to the Lougheed House, the province will be offering free admission on Family Day.

FAMILY DAY AT THE ALBERTA LEGISLATURE

After a two-year hiatus, visitors are welcome back to the Alberta Legislature to celebrate Family Day! There will be indoor entertainment, education and activities for all ages at both the Legislature Building and the Queen Elizabeth II Building.

VISIT THE TELUS WORLD OF SCIENCE

ACC ICE WALL
