Alberta Museums

Looking for something cheap and exciting? This long weekend, families will be able to learn from and explore some of Alberta’s very best and brightest spots for FREE! From the Royal Alberta Museum to the Lougheed House, the province will be offering free admission on Family Day.

Diversecities’ Lunar New Year Gala

Featuring cultural entertainment and activities, networking, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, a photo booth, lucky draws, and more the 2024 Diversecities Gala will return in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

When:  Friday, February 16th, 2024

You’re in for a full day of fun activities planned for the whole family! From kid’s crafts, military board games, and scavenger hunts, there’s something for everyone. Ice Dragon Boat Festival

Up for a bit of a drive? With a ‘pass the poutine contest,’ a beer garden and sleigh rides, Sylvan Lake’s Ice Dragon Boat Races kicks off this Friday! This Family Day weekend, check out Alberta’s favourite Lake Town for a series of exciting events, fun activities and fresh air.

Chinook Blast is back for another year with old favourites along with some new and exciting features. Da Vinci: The Exhibition 

This weekend a new immersive experience will take you on a journey through time! Described as a hands-on examination of the artist’s life and research, this experience will feature 60 fully-built life-sized inventions, more than 20 studies and dozens of beautiful displays.

From the Apollo 11 lunar landing to constellations, attendees are in for an immersive experience that will feel as though they’re exploring star clusters and planets – a dream of any jr. astronomer.
