Summer 2022 is jam packed with concerts and music festivals. Thing at Fort Worden is returning this year with a star studded line up of both local and international musicians and artists. Expect a distinctive mix of music, comedy, visual arts, speakers, and much more.

Thing is taking place in late August on the historic grounds of Fort Worden. If you haven’t been to the fort before it is one of the most spectacular and unique settings in the PNW. The fort encompasses “434 acres with 12 miles of forested hiking trails, 2 miles of walkable saltwater beaches and commanding views of the Puget Sound.”

As it was once an active military base, attendees will be able to see the base in a new light with 2 outdoor stages, McCurdy Pavilion a former balloon hangar converted into a theatre, and the Wheeler Theatre an intimate art deco venue. Clearly the venue is out of this world but what about the performing artists?

This years lineup includes acts like Freddie Gibbs, Yves Tumor, Faye Webster, Modest Mouse, Father John Misty, Jose Gonzalez and more. So plan ahead and don’t miss out on what is sure to be one of the best music festivals in the PNW this summer. Psst tickets go on sale Friday, February 25th.
