These two Niagara restos are your ticket to enjoying mouth-watering food & incredible views

Not all gems are hidden, some lay in plain sight. And today we’re about to brush up on your memory about two such gems. You probably already know of them and have visited them too. But thrilled as we are from our recent umpteenth visit there, we thought now would be a good time to talk about them. We’re talking about the two culinary gems in Niagara Falls, Table Rock House Restaurant and Queen Victoria Place Restaurant.

Now, if you live anywhere in the whole of GTA, you already know that Niagara as a region is more than just the falls. Of course, the falls are the main event but the Canadian side has so much more to experience. And the culinary offerings are a major part of this experience.

So, our off-season visit here turned out to be a pretty spectacular one. For one, we didn’t have to navigate the massive crowd merely to view the falls. For two, we decided to club viewing and grubbing. And the two restos became our ticket to the best views (courtesy of the elevation) and insane eats.

Table Rock House Restaurant

Just in case you’re confused, this is the iconic culinary experience right beside the Falls. This is the closest fall-side dining experience you can get with incredible and unobstructed views of the horseshoe falls. A level above the viewing point, the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows let you enjoy the gorg fall’s view.

The views aren’t the only USP of the resto. Their warm, friendly servers, delicious grubs and crushable drinks are just as much of a pull. And while picking faves from a menu this good is a Herculean task, we have our picks— the Smoked Muscovy Duck Croquette and Butternut Squash & Goat Cheese Bauletti Pasta. As for the drinks, the Niagara Red Wine Sangria and Canadian Coffee Martini are topping our list.

Queen Victoria Place Restaurant

Whether you’ve visited it or not, it is impossible to not have admired this historic restaurant on all of your visits to the falls. Though the original house has been remodelled and extended to become the beautiful resto, it retains much of its historic character and vibe. Now club this with their exquisite menu and the breathtaking views of the American and the Horseshoe falls and you have a winning fall-side dining experience.

Much like the Table Rock House Restaurant, this one too prides itself in sourcing all ingredients from local producers. Needless to say, you can quite literally taste the freshness. Our faves here: Breaded North Atlantic Scallops, Niagara 7 Grain Protein Bowl and Open-Faced Sirloin Steak Sandwich. And DO NOT miss out on their Maple Crème Brûlée.

So, if you, like us, are daydreaming of these lip-smacking delicacies, we suggest you head to Niagara Falls over the weekend. And spend a good few hours at the restos enjoying the views, vibe and bites.
