The Well has transformed for the holidays and here’s what to expect

Toronto’s beloved open-air destination, The Well, is embracing the holiday season with a handful of activities, pop-ups, and markets. If you’re looking for some festive fun, The Well’s Nordic-inspired winter celebration has already kicked off and will be running well into December 2025.

To help get your plans in order, we’ve put together a list of things happening at The Well this holiday season that you have to check out.

Santa’s Workshop: An Interactive Holiday Experience

Shoppers Drug Mart is bringing Santa’s Workshop to The Well with a ton of activities. There will be free photos with Santa, a gifting inspiration spot and activities for kids.

When: Nov. 20 to 23, and Nov. 26 to 30, 2025
Time: Select hours

Jazz Night Winter Series

Stop by for an evening of live jazz music in a winterized atmosphere. Check out the talented local musicians who are sure to set the scene. Come alone or with a group — it’ll be a great time.

When: Nov. 21 and 28, 2025
Time: 6 to 8 p.m.

Tree Hut Holiday Movie Night

Stop by the Tree Hut pop-up at The Well for an exclusive first look at their Santa’s Scoop Bar. You’ll then get the chance to enjoy a private screening of a classic holiday movie with treats and full-sized product sampling.

RSVP for your ticket as space is limited!

When: Dec. 5, 2025
Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Ice Skating at The Well

Now it’s time for you to hit the ice! Bring your own skates or rent from the Skating Hut. All of the rental proceeds go towards the Out of the Cold Program. Though walk-ins are available, book an online reservation to secure your spot.

When: Dec. 3, 2025, to Feb. 16, 2026
Time: Fridays from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Pet Photos with Santa

You and your furry friend can get the most adorable pictures with Santa at The Well. Book your slot online ASAP.

When: Dec. 4 to 28, 2025
Time: Select times

Holiday Disco on Ice

Get ready for a night of Disco… on ice. Dance and glide across the rink to the sounds of the holidays. A live DJ will be spinning the hottest tracks and bringing the heat to the winter season.

When: Dec. 5 to 26, 2025
Time: 6 to 10 p.m.

Skating Performances

Seasonal skating performances will take place at The Rink at The Well! Enjoy figure skating routines set to festive music. It’s as magical as it sounds.

When: Dec. 7, 2025, to Jan. 25, 2026
Time: Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 2 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m.

Silent Symphony

Catch the Enchanted Holiday Symphony and enjoy it under the “aurora borealis,” surrounded by candlelight. “This captivating performance weaves together timeless holiday classics and enchanting melodies, making it an unforgettable celebration for all ages,” shares organizers. This experience is first-come, first-served.

When: Thursdays until Dec. 18, 2025
Time: 6 to 8 p.m.

Holiday Lounge

The Well is hosting a festive pop-up lounge featuring a rotating selection of seasonal alcoholic drinks. This cozy lounge area invites guests to get together with friends, warm up with a drink, and soak in the holiday atmosphere.

Expect winter cocktails to sparkling sips!

When: Until Dec. 28, 2025
Time: Wednesdays to Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 8 p.m., Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.

Nordic by BarChef

Nordic by BarChef is back at The Well this holiday season! As one of Toronto’s most immersive holiday cocktail bars, expect seasonal drinks, Nordic-inspired décor, and a festive atmosphere.

Reservations can be booked online.

When: Until Dec. 28, 2025
Time: Wednesday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to midnight

Vendor Village

Vendor Village brings together eight curated small businesses offering handcrafted goods and artisanal products. It’s located in The Court, bringing a festive shopping experience with locally made treasures, seasonal treats and plenty of holiday spirit.

When:  Wednesdays to Sundays until Dec. 28, 2025
Time: Weekdays 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
