If you love to binge-watch Netflix like us, then you may catch yourself wondering where some of your favourite movies and TV shows were filmed. Did you know that one of Netflix’s most beloved shows was filmed right here in Toronto? The final season of “The Umbrella Academy” is out, and now you can watch it with a closer eye knowing it was filmed at some of the city’s most iconic spots.
Netflix in Your Neighbourhood lists all the Canadian filming locations used in Netflix originals and information about each town and city where the filming occurred, including “Umbrella Academy”.

According to Netflix in Your Neighbourhood, “In the final season of the hit sci-fi series, strange new forces conspire around the Hargreeves siblings. The Umbrella Academy must unite one last time to face new threats and secure a fragile peace.”
So, which spots in the city can you look out for in the final season?
Some of the key locations across Toronto that served as filming spots include:
- Linsmore Tavern
- The Great Hall
- Sunnybrook Park
- Mega Cleaners (East York location)
Scarborough Bluffs and the historic Lakeview Restaurant, which was built in 1932, are two other places that were used for filming.

Toronto isn’t the only Ontario location that was used.
Burlington, Hamilton, Georgetown and Brantford are the other towns and cities that were used as a backdrop. Pretty cool, huh?
