After a two-year hiatus, the iconic Space Needle Fireworks will light Seattle’s sky once again this upcoming New Years’ eve. They’ll be in person, live, loud, and bright, just like years past but probably better. Details on the celebration are still a little slim but let’s get into what we do know.
In 2019, the fireworks were canceled due to wind, and in 2020 due to the pandemic. And while 2021’s digital show was cool and certainly innovative, it wasn’t the same as the over 30-year-old tradition that we’re all used to. So with that in mind, organizers have promised to fill this year’s fireworks display with new surprises to help us ring in 2022.

Just what those surprises are, we’ll all have to wait and see. Seeing as T-Mobile New Year’s at the Needle is North America’s largest structurally-launched fireworks display, it’ll probably be pretty dang good. Not to mention, more details on this year’s celebration will be released soon.
