Happy day folks, the Seattle Kraken is now officially a part of the NHL. This announcement comes after the team paid the final bit of its whopping $650 million expansion fee. So now Seattle can be proud to officially have the league’s 32nd team!
Beyond recognition, this is also a big deal because it means the team is now free to sign and trade for players. And that means the real beginning to the future of our city’s newest sports team. On that note, the team will take part in a draft on July 21st of this year. During that time, nearly every team will lose a player to Seattle.
