Pretty much everyone has a soft spot for animals. Whether you’re a cat or dog person, pets are the best and they’ve helped keep a lot of us sane during the past few years of pandemic living. And now the Seattle Humane Society needs your help.

We promise this isn’t one of those Sarah Mclachlan SPCA commercials, the Seattle Human Society really does need your help. The organization is experiencing a delay in receiving both its dog and cat food and is in desperate need of food donations for its pet food bank. The food bank serves over 900 clients who rely on its services to feed their pets according to KIRO7.

Part of the above Twitter thread states that the Seattle Humane Society can take any type of wet cat and dog food and dry cat food. They also state that the pet food bank gets a lot of requests for grain-free food and also that no prescription diet food is needed. So if you have some cans or bags to spare, consider helping the humane society out so that they can continue their services.

If you’d like to make a donation you can drop it off at the Seattle Humane Society located at 13212 Southeast Eastgate Way in Bellevue. You’ll find a designated area for donations on the lower parking level so be sure to head there.
