The Ruins was once one of Seattle’s most exclusive private clubs. Known for hosting private dinners and wild parties for its members, and many may have wondered what lies inside. Now, for the first time ever, The Ruins is set to open its doors to the public through a new speakeasy – Unlisted.
In the grey and gloom that is Seattle’s climate, The Ruins’ “maximalist aesthetic” is a hard deviation from the everyday. The eclectic interior is transporting and provides a place for visitors to escape while enjoying unforgettable experiences. Now, Seattleites can see behind the curtain with a visit to Unlisted.

Seattle’s newest speakeasy is full of surprises both big and small, most notably an antique life-size animatronic elephant, which was originally constructed in 1931 for the Paris World Exhibition.
As the name suggests, and due to the fact that it is a speakeasy, details are fairly limited. We do know that the new space offers “curated cocktail list and PNW small bites.”
An Instagram post by The Ruins gives a look at one drink, the “Sideshow”, which is made with cognac, orange liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and an orange garnish.
So if you’re curious about what they have to offer, you truly will have to visit to find out. When you arrive, keep your eyes peeled for an elephant sign and head down the alley. Hey, all the mystery is part of what makes it such a fun experience, right?
