Fans at the Leafs game were treated to an unexpected celebrity appearance on Thursday night. Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock showed up to the hockey game in Toronto and the crowd was thrilled.

The Rock also made an appearance at the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Washington Capitals game, and clearly, the fans gave him a warm welcome.

In a video posted by the NHL team, the actor said it’s “been too long” since he’s visited Toronto, and that it felt great to be back.

“The best part about this visit was the energy of the fans, the passion of the fans, the mana of the fans,” he said. “I love you back, Canada.”

The star then made his way to New York City for the big premiere, where he was greeted by even more cheering fans.

On Instagram, Johnson called it the “biggest premiere of my life for the biggest movie of my career.”

It’s always fun when the stars come to town! After the star-studded summer we had in Toronto this year, we wonder who will grace our city’s streets next.
