We’ve all got to start somewhere right? Well, before wrestler, ‘The Rock’ was Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson: movie star, he was actually #74 on the Calgary Stampeders.
In honour of the honorary Calgarian’s May 2nd birthday, his old CFL team wished the world’s boyfriend a happy 48th and got the greatest response in return.

Thanks for the love, Stamps.
Forever grateful for the those tough times. https://t.co/Z0lANZJWgy— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) May 3, 2020
His stint on the football team may have been short-lived, but the city made quite an impact on the icon. Just last year, while filming Jumanji in Calgary, Johnson posted a sentimental caption along with a picture of him at the airport.
“My brain was flooded with crazy experiences here. This is the city where me having only $7 bucks in my pocket all began. I have a deep reverence for this town – she shook me in the best possible way,” He said.
Man, The Rock has come a long way since playing with the Stampeders. Maybe there’s hope for us, still!
Anyway, happy belated birthday, legend, and for the record, that haircut is practically a masterpiece in comparison to the messy mop massacres that have occurred all over the world in quarantine. The isolation snips have been rough.
