After cancelling the 2020 instalment, Richmond Night Market has teased that it is hoping to return later this summer, thanks to BC’s new Reopening Plan. The Night Market is known for the hundreds of food vendors on-site, but also features family-friendly attractions, live entertainment, and more.

At least, it did. Very little information has been given about this year’s plan, aside from that they’re hoping to open “sometime in July”. Hey, as long as we get to drop a few bucks on pork hocks, deep-fried squid, and a classic rotato we’re going to walk away happy.

The current BC Reopening Plan has indicated the return of ‘festivals and fairs’ that have a COVID-19 Safety Plan as early as July 1st. However, this is not a set date, as the province will only move forward with reopening if the data looks good. Fingers crossed that it turns out well since we’re certain it won’t just be the Richmond Night Market that’s coming back.

Regardless, the 2021 instalment of the Richmond Night Market is currently accepting vendor registration, which is another great sign that we’ll be dining on some fine international treats later this summer.

In the meantime, we’ll keep you posted about any more updates!
