Good news, Edmonton! After months of waiting, the new Leopold’s Tavern is just about ready to open its doors! We got the news about their soft opening earlier this week, and couldn’t wait to share the news with you. If you’re unfamiliar with this beloved franchise, here’s a quick rundown.

Leopold’s Tavern was born, of all places, in Regina. Quickly becoming a fan favourite there, Leopold’s soon expanded across western Canada, from Victoria to Winnipeg. Edmonton’s location was actually scheduled to open last summer, but COVID understandably threw a wrench in those plans.

Leopold’s is known for its bold interiors, and we’re expecting Edmonton to be no different. Expect tons of music and sports memorabilia to plaster the walls, which only adds to the energy of an Oilers game or (when it’s allowed) a live music night.

Think great pub classics for the food menu, but don’t pass up trying their amazing poutines once they open. Have you ever tried cheeseburger poutine? We haven’t, but we know that our bodies are ready.

Leopold’s has announced an invite-only (we think, we’re not 100% sure) opening weekend of March 26th and 27th, so we’re expecting a full opening by the end of the month or early April!
