The Mural Walk in Downtown Langley is a must see this spring

The VGA is lucky to be home to some pretty spectacular municipalities, each with its very own sights and sounds. We all know and love each area for the unique qualities, but what comes to mind when you think of Downtown Langley? If you’re not too sure then don’t worry, because we’re here to tell you about all the amazing things to do and see in the quaint little town!

First and foremost we have to mention the Mural Walk. Local artists have brought this town to life through colourful masterpieces. Use this handy map to navigate the streets so you don’t miss any of the 22 murals! Because of initiatives like this, the vibe around town is buzzing, vibrant, and fun. And we pretty much guarantee you’ll get some Instagram-worthy shots, so don’t forget to hashtag #MuralWalkLangley when you post!

Once you’re done with the Mural Walk you’ll want to hit the shops! Downtown Langley boasts an impressive variety of retailers just waiting to be discovered. Trust us, you’ll be finding knick-knacks you didn’t even know you needed at the many specialty stores along the way. 

Now, we know that restaurants are closed, but luckily that hasn’t stopped any of them from serving up delicious take-out food. Find what you’re craving and head over to McBurney Plaza to enjoy the tasty eats and take in the ambiance.

Before we go on we should probably clear up a common misconception. Downtown Langley and Fort Langley are not the same, they are actually two separate cities! We’re all for Fort Langley, but we can’t help but pump up Downtown Langley for all that they have going on right now.

Coming up this summer is the always loved ‘Pick Up Picnic Program’ so here’s the scoop on how it works. You place an order for pick-up at your favourite restaurant, and they will also give you everything you need for the ultimate picnic! You’ll get a map showing all the great spots to enjoy a picnic in Langley City, hand sanitizer, green waste bags, and some other goodies as well. How cool is that?!
