It’s been a minute since we’ve talked about the Seattle Kraken. The NHL’s newest franchise has been learning the ropes as a new team and of course, having some fun along the way. Most recently by honoring former teammate Vitek Vanecek in a pretty hilarious way.

Now don’t worry, nothing happening to Vanecek, rather his time with the Seattle Kraken was just incredibly short. By that, we mean a week. He was on the Kraken roster for just a week before getting traded back to his original team, the Washington Capitals.

There are no hard feelings with this trade and the Kraken took an opportunity to poke fun at the situation on Sunday. The Kraken released a short but heartwarming tribute video of Vanecek’s next to non-existent time with the team. You can check out that little video above.

While our home team is still working on W’s, our team’s branding and social media is certainly on lock. We can’t wait to see what other jokes the team cracks as the season goes on. Have a great week folks!
