There’s a brand new, plastic-free, low-waste store opening in Toronto and it’ll serve as a one-stop shop for all your essential household goods.

The Keep Refillery will open its fourth location in Ontario on March 4th, marking its first in Toronto – right at 637 Dupont Street.

The new store will bring a range of “locally sourced, all-natural, organic, biodegradable, cruelty-free, and plastic-free products for home and personal living to the community,” according to the shop.

In order to support a low-waste lifestyle, customers are encouraged to “get creative” and bring in their empty reusable containers to fill up.

Goods include shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, face wash, and much more. refillable containers are also available for purchase at the shop.

Forgot your reusable container? Don’t fret! The Keep offers customers the chance to take part in their ‘take a jar, leave a jar’ program. Customers can leave behind what they don’t need and take what they do.

“Only 9% of plastic is recycled, and it’s just not good enough,” said Jacquie Rushlow, co-founder of The Keep Refillery.

“Almost anything can be refilled nowadays, and it’s by taking small actions, person to person, community to community, that we can make effective change. We are excited to bring The Keep Refillery to Toronto and help the Toronto community eliminate plastic and harmful toxic chemicals from their lives.”

In honour of its grand opening, the first 50 refillers on March 4th will receive gift bags filled with the best goodies from reusable paper towels, deodorant, shower steamers, and more.

If you love the low-waste lifestyle, The Keep Refillery has other popular locations in Creemore, Meaford, and Kingston, too.
