The inspiring ‘Lights of Hope’ are back for the holiday season in Vancouver

With construction already started on the new St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, we might be running out of opportunities to check out the iconic ‘Lights of Hope’ at the old one! This dazzling holiday light display is meant to bring cheer to everyone who sees it, and we’ll be darned if it doesn’t accomplish that mission.

Running since 1998, Lights of Hope has been one of the major fundraising efforts for the St. Paul’s Foundation, a charity dedicated to everything from improving medical equipment to ongoing education services for patients and residents alike. Now a full-blown holiday tradition, Lights of Hope has seen hundreds of thousands of visitors over the years.

Because boy oh boy, what a sight to see! Using over 10km of lights, of which some 60% are LEDs, the star-themed Lights of Hope display is easily worth a downtown detour at least one night during the holiday season. Our advice? Swing by before (or after) a nice dinner out, and use the interactive display to donate what you can!

This fantastic display will be running throughout the holiday season, so keep it in mind over the next few weeks, folks!
