This new Seattle bar will be a place to read while enjoying a drink

Attention lovers of books! A new bar is coming to Ballard this winter, and it will be a place to read, and have a drink. Say hello to The Ink Drinker!

Soon to be located at 2050 NW Market Street, The Ink Drinker is described as “Seattle’s next favorite place to curl up with a good book & a good drink.”

The new space is Queer woman-owned, and while no specific opening date is set, it is said to be coming “this winter.”

“So, what IS The Ink Drinker, anyway? It’s a bar where you can come, kick back with your latest read, and enjoy a craft cocktail (or mocktail) with minimal distractions (i.e. no TVs, no blaring music, no clangy pool tables), while surrounded by fellow book lovers,” states a social media post about the new bar.

“Why? Why not? We, as readers, deserve a bar that’s made just for us.”

While winter tends to be many’s least favorite season, this is one thing we can look forward to!

Who doesn’t love to curl up with a book in the winter time?

We’ll keep you posted as the opening date nears!
