Nestled within the historic confines of a decommissioned gothic-style church dating back to 1912 is Toronto’s newest premier event venue and restaurant, The Imperial. The new space calls itself a “new landmark event venue and destination in Toronto’s prestigious Forest Hill neighbourhood.” Here’s what you can expect.

This is a place you are definitely going to want to check out.

Designed by Lux Interiors with over 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces, The Imperial “caters to gatherings of all sizes, from intimate dinners to grand celebrations.”

The space boasts six different gathering spaces, each with a distinct ambiance.

From weddings to gatherings, there are endless possibilities for events, as the Imperial accommodates up to 450 seated guests and 600+ in a cocktail-style setting.

The six spaces include:

  • The Lobby: A grand entrance leading to an adjoining space, setting the stage for unforgettable events.
  • The Imperial Room: Exuding glamorous luxury, this space is ideal for elegant affairs and formal gatherings.
  • The Courtyard: The crown jewel of The Imperial, providing a picturesque outdoor setting for celebrations under the stars.
  • The Rooftop: A secret getaway offering breathtaking views of the city skyline, perfect for intimate gatherings and cocktail parties.
  • The Bistro: Embracing old-style Italian elegance, this space promises a cozy and inviting atmosphere for dining experiences.
  • The Bell Tower: A romantic “I do” space, offering an enchanting setting for wedding ceremonies and special moments.

The Bistro will not only be open for events, but it will also be open daily to the public featuring a menu with “a range of classic favourites and innovative creations, each dish crafted with the finest ingredients.”

According to The Imperial, it will open its doors in late 2024.
