The Halal Guys: Popular New York spot opening its first Vancouver location

Hungry for some tasty halal food? Gyro and falafel enthusiasts won’t have long to wait before The Halal Guys opens its first-ever location in Vancouver.

Known for its authentic halal platters and sandwiches, The Halal Guys took the U.S. by storm back in the ’90s, when the three Egyptian founders first shifted from selling hot dogs in New York to selling halal food to Muslim taxi drivers, who had few halal options at the time.

Soon, their platters of chicken and gyro over rice and falafel sandwiches became famous across the city, and the business has since expanded to multiple states in the U.S., and eastern provinces in Canada.

Speaking of, the new Vancouver location will officially open its doors on Saturday, July 15th and Sunday, July 16th. So mark your calendars and get ready for some mouthwatering shawarma, falafel, and gyros!
