Ooh, la la! After shutting down right at the start of the pandemic last year, Wilfred’s has announced that it’s coming back! What’s more, the beautiful (and delicious) spot has partnered up with an Albertan ice cream icon- Made by Marcus. Here’s a little more info.

Having opened back in 2018, Wilfred’s took the idea of a classic diner and brought it into the present. And while the dishes weren’t exactly diner prices (think like $12 for avocado toast) the quality of the food made it more than worth the visit. Especially since Wilfred’s didn’t shy away from weekly specials and a rotating menu.

What’s more, their location in the Brewery District has only become more popular over the years. So, we’re happy to see one of the early adopters return to the area. Now, we just wonder how much will have changed in the year-and-a-half of downtime.

Well, we know of a couple changes already. In addition to partnering up with Made by Marcus for an array of ice cream and milkshakes. Meanwhile, Wilfred’s is rethinking their menu with a new focus on Southern American cuisine. A little fried chicken and a shake to wash it down? Hoowee! That’s our kind of summer meal.

If that’s yours as well, then make sure to follow along on Instagram for updates. And of course, we’re going to be doing the same.
