This new Toronto restaurant at The Well has an all-season terrace & happy hour deals

The Well can now add another must-try dining destination to its roster. The Dorest officially opens its doors in Toronto, offering a taste and feel of the southwest English coast through its menu and its exciting all-season terrace.

Another addition to the Oliver & Bonacini name, The Dorset has opened at 457 Wellington Street W, following the opening of the recent La Plume.

O&B Executive Chef Ryan Lister is from the small seaside town of Weymouth, Dorset, in England. Lister brings his “appreciation for both nostalgic, childhood fare and elevated, seasonal and contemporary cooking,” to the new establishment.

“The Dorset has been a true labour of love,” said Chef Lister. “I couldn’t be more excited to share a taste of home with Toronto, and hopefully add something completely unique and authentic to our city’s dining scene.”

Guests can enjoy several dining areas that pay homage to British coastal and countryside living.

There’s a main floor bar with an all-day menu, a second-floor dining space for a more refined menu, and last but not least, an all-season terrace that serves as a private dining space.

A perfect addition considering our lovely Canadian weather.

Named after a beach in Dorset, ‘The Chesil’, this space is on the second floor and overlooks Wellington St.

Its north wall is made up of full-length windows that, in the warmer months, we’ll open to offer an airy feel.

Though it will primarily be used for private events – when it’s not booked, it will be open for a la carte dining for those who would like to sit on the terrace.

But if it is booked, you can enjoy a lovely evening on their soon-to-come street-level patio launching later this spring.

This lovely setting pairs almost perfectly with its stellar happy hour that runs daily from 3 PM to 6 PM. Guests can enjoy 50% off all drinks and snacks – we can get behind this.

The Dorset will be open for lunch and dinner starting Tuesdays through Sundays. There are plans to be open seven days a week so stay tuned for that.

Toronto’s restaurant scene is growing and we love it!
