Toronto just got a state-of-the-art bowling alley in Yorkville

The day has finally arrived! The Ballroom Bowl Yorkville has officially opened its doors to the public, bringing together a mix of luxury and bowling to Toronto’s Yonge and Bloor area.

Located at 1 Bloor Street East, The Ballroom Bowl Yorkville is home to eight state-of-the-art bowling lanes, along with two VIP lanes, dining space, bar and lounge areas with delicious cocktail and food menus.

“Yes, a bowling alley in Yorkville,” said Paul Donato, owner of The Ballroom Bowl.

“Choosing Yorkville as our first expansion location is a natural evolution for us. It’s a neighbourhood synonymous with sophistication and style. We are thrilled to bring The Ballroom Bowl’s unique blend of playfulness and sophistication to Yorkville, providing a new and exciting element to this neighbourhood.”

Bowlers will be met with what’s described as a “sophisticated leisure-inspired aesthetic” when they arrive at the new Yorkville spot. It’s interior design features a city collage wall graphic, an open kitchen view and curved cave-like acoustic control in the lounge area, and the bar features concealed TVs along with a 3 sided water vapour fireplace.

As for the VIP area, it offers an exclusive experience with private bowling lanes, leather couches and full-screen TVs.

“Bowling will always be at the foundation of what the Ballroom Bowl is, but each location is unique and reflects the preferences and nuances of the local community. The Yorkville location is elegant, it has a beautiful bar and restaurant with high-end details and finishes, a natural evolution from the original in the Entertainment District,” shared Donato.

Talking about food, guests can enjoy a combination of classic and innovative dishes like roasted artichoke & white bean hummus, short rib mac-n-cheese, paired with a wide range of wines, beers and signature cocktails.

Try the Smoke & Mirrors, Strawberry Hibiscus Cooler and Mexpresso Martini when you’re there!

And of course, there will be weekly entertainment like DJ’s every Friday and Saturday night, daily specials from $7 beer and house wine on Mondays, half-price appetizers on Tuesdays, half-priced bowling on Wednesdays and half prices fish ‘n’ chips on Fridays.

The Ballroom Bowl opened its first Toronto location back in 2010 and with the opening of its second, 14 years later, it’s hoping to continue expanding across the city.

Three more Toronto locations are set to open in 2024 and 2025, including at Yonge and Dundas.
